GPW has been named Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 of the municipality of Voorne aan Zee.
During the Voorne aan Zee Business Evening on November 27, 2025, Arie Prins and Willem de Gier of GPW Turbine Support were named Entrepreneur of the Year. They received this award for their perseverance, innovative approach, and sustainable business practices.
GPW launched its business in 2005 after a difficult period. Now, GPW is a major player in turbine maintenance and repair. The jury praised our courage, energy-neutral building, and commitment to young people and local projects.

The jury was also impressed by our energy-neutral building, which features a fully equipped workshop where we can maintain and overhaul large machines. A quote from the jury report: “In doing so, they are also contributing to their customers’ energy transition by converting fossil-fueled turbines to electric turbines. Their mobile workshops in containers also allow them to perform on-site maintenance and repairs.”
